Fixline SMS Consent & Opt-In Policy

How consent is obtained

End users provide consent to receive SMS messages through an explicit keypad action during an inbound phone call. When a customer calls a contractor's business phone number and the call is not answered, an automated voice message plays: "Sorry we missed your call. Press 1 to receive a text message and get help right now." The customer must press 1 on their phone keypad to trigger the SMS. No message is sent unless this keypress action occurs.

Sample opt-in message (sent only after pressing 1)

"Hi! This is [Business Name]. What problem do you need help with today? Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply."

No messages without explicit consent

No SMS is sent to any recipient unless they explicitly press 1 during the automated call. This is a required step before any conversation begins.

Opt-out instructions

Recipients may reply STOP, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE at any time to immediately stop receiving messages.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on the conversation. Typically 5-10 messages are exchanged to collect job details.
